Minh K. Tran, DO
Dr. Minh Tran received his medical degree in 2009 at Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, VA. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC in 2012. He also completed his fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at East Carolina University in 2015. In 2014, he was appointed Chief Fellow of Cardiovascular Sciences at the Brody SOM at ECU. He won the award for “Fellow of the Year” in 2015. Dr. Tran joined the practice in 2015.
He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and holds a certification from both the National Board of Echocardiography as well as the Board of Nuclear Cardiology. Dr. Tran’s clinical focus is on cardiac imaging and its utility in the clinical spectrum of cardiac diagnostic tools.
Dr. Tran was born in Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon City), Vietnam. He is fluent in Vietnamese. He emigrated with his family to New York when he was 10 years old. He is a health and fitness enthusiast with a passion for exercise and weight training. He also enjoys traveling and learning about different cultures as well as trying new and different foods. Dr. Tran enjoys meeting patients and helping them with their cardiac needs.
