Karen J. Byrd, PA-C
Karen (“KJ”) is a Charleston native and attended University of South Carolina for undergrad studies. She received a Masters of Physician Assistant Studies from South University in Savannah, Georgia. During her student clinic rotations, she worked with Dr. Runquist at Coastal Cardiology. After graduation, KJ began working at Roper Express Care and in June of 2017 joined Coastal Cardiology as our newest Physician Assistant. She is a member of American Academy of Physician Assistants and South Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants. In her spare time, she enjoys being on the water, attending Gamecock sporting events, and spending time with family and friends.
