John M. Ciccone, MD

Dr. John Ciccone is originally from Passaic, New Jersey and received his medical degree from UMDNJ New Jersey Medical School, now known as Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, in 1979. He completed an Internal Medicine Residency at UMDNJ University Hospital in 1982, where he served as the Administrative Chief Resident. Dr. Ciccone continued on to complete a fellowship in Cardiology at UMDNJ Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in 1984. He continued to practice as an invasive cardiologist in the New Jersey area until 2012, and also served as a Clinical Instructor and Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at UMDNJ during the same time.

Dr. Ciccone moved to Mount Pleasant, South Carolina in 2012 to practice as a noninvasive cardiologist for Roper St. Francis Mt. Pleasant Hospital. During his time with Roper St. Francis Physician Partners, Dr. Ciccone served on a number of committees – he was the Vice-Chair of the Medical Subspecialty Committee and the Medical Director of the Healthy Lifestyles Program. Dr. Ciccone joined Coastal Cardiology in October 2018.

He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Cardiology, and is board certified in Integrative and Holistic Medicine. Furthermore, Dr. Ciccone is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a member of the Medical Society of South Carolina.
